Don’t delay – make that call

Gas Leak Indoors - If you smell gas:



Bulk Supply

list Switch off the emergency valve on the outside wall of the building.
list Extinguish all naked flames immediately.
list Do not operate any electrical equipment and be aware of any equipment which may switch on or off automatically.
list Open all doors and windows to ventilate the building.
list Contact your installer or the engineer who maintains your appliances.

Cylinder Supply

list If you suspect that a cylinder is faulty, disconnect it from the appliance and place it upright in the open air.
list Open all doors and windows to ventilate the building.

Gas Leak Outdoors

list Turn off the gas at the main shut off valve under the tank hood.
list Extinguish all naked flames immediately.
list Contact Shell Gas.

Major Leak or Fire

list Call out the fire service and advise them that the leak or fire involves LPG.
list If the leak or fire is indoors , get everyone out of the premises.
list If the leak or fire is outdoors ,evacuate people from the area and keep upwind of any leak.
list Call Shell Gas.
