Bitumen Heating

LPG is popular for heating bitumen on site because it needs no pumping and it is easily controlled making it easy to monitor the temperature required.

Solid and liquid fuels present problems in temperature control, particularly for works on site. For heating the asphalt surface during road repair work, Shell Gas LPG can be burned under a hood which concentrates the heat on the road surface.
